Wrexham’s Edge Transport is the UK’s first recipient of MAN’s new middleweight truck chassis, the TGM. Two 18.240(suffix) 18 tonners with ‘C’ Day cabs will go into service on May 1st on multi-drop deliveries, and on operations through the company’s shareholder status with the Palletline Network.

Trucks were supplied through the MAN ERF Truck Centre, Beech’s Garage in Stoke-on-Trent, and will receive R&M from the MAN ERF Service Centre in Wrexham, AN Richards.

TGM, which supersedes the proven M2000 Evolution range, completes the MAN’s Trucknology Generation range, launched in 2000 with the premium duty tractor TGA range, and supplemented in 2004 with the lightweight TGL lightweight range.

Edge Transport’s latest TGMs join 19 existing L2000 and M2000 Evolution chassis in its 35-strong fleet.
Curtain-side bodywork comes supplied and fitted by JC Payne.

Commenting on the new truck deliveries, local MAN ERF Service Centre, AN Richards is singled out for particular praise by Edge Transport’s Traffic Manager, Richard Pridding.

“We’ve have used AN Richard for a number of years now,” he said, “and we believe the service and parts support they offer to be the best in the area,”
