About Edge Transport

Edge Transport was founded over 75 years ago by Alfred Edge, who, as an owner driver, distributed for the Army during the war and afterwards provided long distance haulage to Chester businesses.

 

In the early 1960’s Alfred’s son, Peter Edge, took over and the company’s continued expansion resulted in a relocation from Chester to Llay enabling further opportunity to provide distribution services across Wrexham, Chester, Deeside, Shropshire, the Wirral and North Wales.

 

Edge Transport has continued as a family company since Peter’s passing in 1999 involving his close knit team of wife, son and daughter who have the highest expectations for quality in all aspects of the business.

 

Through continual growth and involvement in Palletline’s development (right up to board level), and more recently with the Hazchem Network, Edge Transport Ltd now operates a substantial and varied fleet of vehicles supported by a workforce that thrive off our family business work ethic providing the very highest standards in service to our current 500 plus customer base.
